Arsenal 0 Chelsea 2 : Notes and Queries
By Myles Palmer
______________________________________ Before the game I thought Chelsea would win 1-0 from a set-piece. But they won 2-0 from a set-piece. Gallas took a throw to Drogba, who was marked by Senderos, and Robben was poised to make a scissors run infield beyond the defence. It was a well-rehearsed move. Drogba moved to head the throw and missed it.His flick-on failed - or he may have ducked. The ball hit Senderos and broke back to Drogba, who had spun round and was now facing Arsenal's goal. He played the killer pass to Robben through the legs of Senderos, goal, game over in 39 minutes. 99% of Chelsea's games are all about the first goal. ASHLEY COLE should be back in three weeks. As you may have noticed, I never write about injured players here. But Arsenal have missed Cole terribly. His fighting spirit. His lightning overlaps. His sharp reactions - he is a great reflex player. In a left-sided attacking team, Ashley Cole has been a vital component. Any club would miss him hugely. December 21st 2005
